The fish on the Watauga have been gorging themselves on the all the
bugs hatching this spring. The crazy weather patterns for the past
couple of weeks have been making the Caddis Hatch very interesting.
It has been three or four days of wind, rain and cool temperatures
and then three or four days of summertime heat with temperatures in
the upper 80's. The hatch has been good, but it is not an every day
event. They have been coming off at irregular times making it harder
to predict.

The Sulphurs are starting to come off good on the South Holston and the TVA has been generating allowing us to float. We have gotten plenty of rain for the past couple of weeks and it means good fishing. We are throwing streamers for big fish with some success. If this type of fishing is what you like give us a call.

The smallmouth are on the beds and fishing is slow, but that will
change in the next couple of weeks. They will begin feeding hard
trying to recover from their spawning ritual. There is nothing like a
nice river smallie pulling hard on your line.

Give us a call and lets get you on the river to go fishing.
