Fishing Reports
This Week's Report
Nov. 12-18, 2007
Welcome to the fishing report for the week of November 11th through the 18th. This was a good week for rest and relaxation.
Sunday, Nes did a float trip with John Morris and his lovely wife. They floated the normal Watauga float from the Blevins Road TWRA access down to the Twin Bridges take-out in the town of Watauga. It was a slow day with the converging weather systems, but a few fish were caught.
Monday through Friday was a get away trip for Momma and I. We spent some days relaxing at Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach. I spent a couple of days fishing for bluefish in the Intercoastal Waterway Little River outlet. My wife spent a number of days looking for seashells. She was lucky to find some starfish after the front came through on Thursday. It was great to get time at the beach for both of us.
Nes has been making great strides in the new skiff while I was gone. He finished the fiberglass and epoxy coatings on the bottom. After giving it a couple of days to dry he began stitching the sides and transoms to the bottom. He made a mistake on cutting the rear transom, so we spent Saturday and Sunday making a new one. Here is a shot from the rear transom area.

My family and I are looking forward to Thanksgiving Day. We will get together as brothers and sisters and give thanks for all the things the Lord provides to us. Nes and his wife Sandy will be heading to Missouri to see their daughter, son-in-law, and Caroline, the new grandbaby.
I want to ask everyone to keep a close friend of mine, Olyns, in your prayers. He is a pillar of strength to many of us in his faith to the Lord. He is suffering severe health problems and needs our prayers. Thank you.
I want to thank those that stop by to read my fishing reports, I hope you continue to come back.
