Fishing Reports

Nov. 26-Dec. 2, 2007

Welcome to the fishing report for the week of November 26th through the December 2nd. This was a week off from fishing. Things are slowing down for the Winter. I am looking forward to spending time with family during the Christmas season.

Monday through Thursday was spent helping Nes work on his new skiff. We applied the fillet paste and fiberglass cloth and resin to join the sides and transoms to the bottom. The seat had dried so we scraped the excess resin and gave it a first sanding. We have also been working on nets to sale during the upcoming fly shows. Here is a shot of the center rower’s seat.

Friday was a day of shopping for the Salvation Army Angel that my wife and I adopted for Christmas. They gave us a list with clothing and shoe sizes and some other things that the child wanted. So we went off to shop. We have been adopting an angel for a number of years. There are many out there who are less fortunate. I know what that is like and this lets my family help those in need.

Saturday was another day of working on the skiff. We flipped the boat over and started prepping the bottom for the cloth and resin treatment. We went looking at boat trailers in the afternoon.

Sunday was a day spent with my wife putting up our Christmas tree and decorations. It was a relaxing day reflecting on many of our Christmas’s in the past.

I am looking forward to the upcoming Christmas holidays and being able to go to spend time with my daughter and new son-in-law.

If you want to give a fishing trip for someone for a Christmas gift, we have gift certificates available.
